A simple thought process and rule of thumb in lighting.
Lighting is a make or break it key piece to the event feel. It is one of the ultimate details that touch the senses for your guest. Think about your home and how it feels when the lights are dimmed correctly, candles are lit and guests are coming over for dinner. What kind of feeling does this evoke in your home? A great one right!
Well, that is how your guests feel when they step into an event space that has the proper lighting. Even if you can't afford a big budget in lighting doing simple things such as dimming the overhead lights and renting up-lights to add to the space will bring a sense of detail your guest will enjoy. Then add that layer of candlelight and you will be set.
There are great companies online that you can rent up-lights from or connect with your local lighting companies or rental companies to see what is available. Staying local is always my favorite!
Most importantly don't forget the importance of the light in your next event!
**When renting up-lights space them out every 10ft at a minimum. 6ft is ideal if the budget allows.
